Application Process
We are glad you are interested in Portage Lakes Career Center. We look forward to working with you in pursuit of your chosen profession. Portage Lakes Career Center serves students from the Coventry, Green, Manchester, and Springfield districts. Enrollment is limited. Therefore, you are encouraged to apply early if you are interested in a specific program.
Students seeking enrollment must have two years of high school education prior to admission. A student's grades, courses, attendance, achievement and aptitude test scores are taken into consideration for acceptance. Each home school is guaranteed a minimum number of seats in each program, proportional to the enrollment in that school. If there are more applications than space in a particular program, students best meeting the selection criteria will be selected for admission and the remainder will be placed on a waiting list. Every effort is made to place applicants in their first-choice program.
