An important goal of career education is effective job placement to provide students with necessary practical and learning experiences in their field of study.  Internships, Apprenticeships, and Early Job Placement match students’ skills and career interests with employers’ needs.  Prior to employment, all students and their employers will complete a formal Training Agreement which outlines personal information and lists all job duties and responsibilities.  In addition, all students and employers are required to read through the student and employer responsibility guidelines and to review the assessment pieces for rating a student’s performance.  Internships, Apprenticeships, and Early Job Placement opportunities are a privilege to participate in and are not guaranteed for every student.  A student may have his/her Internship, Apprenticeship, or Early Job Placement privileges revoked and be returned to the regular school schedule at any time if it is determined by the Placement Coordinator and Program Instructor to be necessary.  Each Internship, Apprenticeship, or Early Job Placement opportunity is earned by meeting and by continuing to uphold certain criteria.
