Both classroom instruction and clinical experience in a healthcare facility will provide an opportunity for students to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. Students will be trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions to prepare for entry-level positions as phlebotomists.  Emphasis will be placed on infection prevention, proper patient identification, test requirements, proper labeling of specimens and quality assurance. Class size limited to 12 students.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
Pharmacy Technicians can work in the hospital or retail pharmacy environment, helping licensed Pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients. This course prepares you to take the National Pharmacy Technician Certfication exam (CPhT). This program includes: Drug Nomenclature, Pharmaceutical Symbols, IV Preparation and Calculations, Parenteral Nutritution Preparation, Elemental Symbols, Medical Law and Ethics, and Abbreviations. Class size limited to 15 students.
